3 Days Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga, Camel trekking tour

Introduction :

We will pick you up at your accommodation, then drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tichka pass. Visit the ancient Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou then drive through the beautiful Rose valley. In the second day, we will dive into the Sahara desert, where you will have the chance to spend a night under stars in the middle of the desert. The last day of tour will take us through the lavish green mountains of the Middle Atlas Mountains, to visit the beautiful town of Ifrane before we arrive to Fes.

Program details :

1 Day 1 : Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges

At 8 am we will meet you at your accommodations reception then depart to Dades via the high atlas mountains, crossing Tichka Pass, a road which goes in the middle of the High atlas and which stands in 2260m above sea level, we will stop to visit an argan oil women co-operative to see how people in the atlas prepare the Argan oil and have a cup of coffee, then continue our way to join Kasbah Telouat, a former house of the famous warlord EL Pasha Lglaoui, then we continue via the salt way to join the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, we will visit the Kasbah then have lunch in a local restaurant. After that we continue to Dades crossing the city of Ouarzazate or Hollywood of Africa, a city famous for being the shooting site for famous movies “ Gladiator” “ The Mummy”. Continue our journey through the road of 1000 Kasbah and then the beautiful Rose Valley, where you will have the chance to see the distillation of the roses. As the day unfolds, we will finish our journey at the Hotel in Dades Valley.

2 Day 2 : DADES TO MERZOUGA VIA TODRA GORGE, ERFOUD.

After breakfast depart to Merzouga via Todra Gorge, a very wonderful canyon with its high standing rocks 300m high, then we continue via the town of Tinjdad. Lunch in the road. Passing through the town of Erfoud very famous for its dates international festival and also for being a fossils town. Upon your arrival to Merzouga you will put your luggage in a Hotel, and take only the necessary ones, then you will camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, you will attend the sunset in your way to the camp. Overnight at a nomad tented camp.

3 Day 3 : MERZOUGA TO FES VIA ZIZ VALLEY, MIDDLE ATLAS AND IFRANE

Your camel man will wake you up in the morning to watch a marvelous sunrise as the sun rises from behind the ocean of sand dunes. After breakfast in your camp, you will take the camels back to the village to join your car and then drive through the beautiful Ziz Valley, where you will have a panoramic stop over the Ziz palm grove. As our journey takes us through parts of the High Atlas mountains, we will pass via Berber villages and you will have the chance to see sheepherders and Nomads along the way. As we pass through the Middle Atlas mountains and the Cedar Forest where we will stop to take a close look a the Barbary Macaques. Then drive to stop at the beautiful city of Ifrane before we arrive to Fes. Drop off at your accommodation.
